Couples & Intensives

The longer I live, the more deeply I learn that love — whether we call it friendship or family or romance — is the work of mirroring and magnifying each other’s light. Gentle work. Steadfast work. Life-saving work in those moments when life and shame and sorrow occlude our own light from our view, but there is still a clear-eyed loving person to beam it back. In our best moments, we are that person for another. - Maria Popova

Relationships are ecosystems. They are living, breathing, vital environments that need tending and intentionality.

I offer both ongoing weekly sessions and half-day intensives, depending on what your relationship needs.

Ongoing Relational Sessions

Weekly sessions for folks doing the slower, steady work of coming back into relationship with each other — tending to recurring patterns, working through disconnection, or rebuilding trust after a rupture. This is the right pace when what you need is consistency: a regular space to keep returning to each other over time.

The Half-Day Intensive: A Reset

Sometimes fifty minutes once a week isn't enough room to actually get underneath what's happening between you. A half-day intensive offers something different — real time, held with care, to slow all the way down together.

We begin by hearing from each of you, briefly and separately, so I can understand what's true for each of you before you're both in the room together and the dynamic arises. From there, we move into the working heart of the day — following what's actually alive between you, tracking it closely, staying present rather than rushing toward resolution. We take a real break partway through; this work asks a lot of a nervous system, and rest is part of the process, not a pause from it. We close by naming what we've found and shaping it into something concrete you can carry forward together.

This is the same attunement I bring to all of my work — slow, embodied, responsive to what's actually happening rather than what we think should be happening. You can read more about that approach on my [Counseling page →].

3.5 hours. One session. My office.

Is this for you?

  • You keep having the same fight, even if the shape of it changes each time

  • Something happened — a betrayal, a loss, a hard decision — and you don't yet have a way to talk about it that doesn't go sideways

  • You're not in crisis, but you can feel yourselves drifting, and you'd rather meet that honestly now than wait for it to become more

  • You've tried therapy before and it felt too slow to keep pace with what you were actually carrying

  • You're facing a threshold together — a new baby, a move, blending families — and you want to walk through it consciously and intentionally

For more in-depth work focusing on polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, or relationship structures outside the traditional frame, visit my other practice, Nuance — where it's the sole focus rather than one part of a broader practice. [Visit Nuance →]

What this isn't

This isn't crisis intervention, and it isn't the right container if either of you is navigating active abuse, active addiction, or a decision that's already been made to leave. In those cases, I'll tell you honestly on our consultation call, and point you toward what will actually serve you.

Investment

$750 for the 3.5-hour intensive. A deposit holds your date, as I set this time aside exclusively for you.

Most couples begin with a free 15-minute consultation call, so I can understand what's bringing you in and we can both feel into whether this format is the right fit.
